Telstra has opened four new data centres as part of an ongoing$800 million investment in cloud technologies that the telco is hoping will net it more lucrative government and enterprise telecommunication contracts.

The new data centres will bring hosting services closer to enterprise and government organisations around the country by providing local sites for customers whose applications rely on high speeds and those with data-sovereignty requirements.
